Berek , son of Moszek Majer and Chana (Alterman) Szuchendler, lived in Ostrowiec and was married to Gitla [daughter of Janke and Marja Perla (Goldhamer) Apelbaum from Klimontow ].

Their children were: Szmil, Ela Lejzer, Josek Borukh, Icek (Israel) Szmerek, and Chinda Laja.
As the children grew older, the family moved to Lodz , where some were killed in the Holocaust and other survived.
