Berel Sherman (Berek Szerman) was born on March 12, 1918 in Ostrowiec to Miriam (BORENSZTAJN) and Wolf Sherman. He married Ethel Temma , daughter of Myer and Rachel Swartzman . ( Meyer was brother to Avraham Swartzman-link to https://jewsofostrowiec.com/shvartzman-family/)

His mother Miriam , brother Shmuel and sisters Sara, Beila and Chana were killed in the Holocaust.

After the war, Berel and his wife and father moved to Toronto.

Berel’s father Wolf passed away in 1968.

Berel passed away in 1989 and his  wife Ethel Temma in 1992.
