Jack was born on April 4, 1924 in Ostrowiec Poland.

We are working on a special project with Jack's synagogue, Shaarei Tefilla that was amalgamated with the Ostrowiec community Synagogue once on Cecil Street in Toronto.

Jack's family was among the appx. 11,000 Jews of the town deported to their death in Treblinka in October 1942. Vital work is currently being carried out in the Jewish Cemetery of the town to identify and designate the mass grave where about 1000 victims of the town were murdered in the first weeks of deportation. Clean up and restoration work at the cemetery is also needed.
