Jankiel Mintz

My great grandfather was Jankiel Mintz and had a jewelery shop with his brother Lejbus at 53  Rynek Street in  Ostrowiec.

Jankiel  was married to Ryfka Katz ( who died before the Holocaust) and they had 4 children:

Henie  (my grandmother) born in 1910, she left Ostrowiec in 1935 to Buenos Aires, Argentina where she had two daughters: Regina (my mother) who married Oscar Goland (my father) and the other daughter was  Lilia.
Leibel (Louis) -who went to the USA
Abram – who went to Argentina
Chaja– she died before the Shoah

After becoming a widow, Jankiel Mintz remarried to Chana Fagja Katson and they had three little boys:  Nusyn, Lejzor and Josek . They all died in the Holocaust along with Lejbus Mintz (Jankiel’s brother) .
