Last week, I had the pleasure of speaking to the students of Marcin Popiel Catholic High School in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. I shared details of my parent's life that began in Ostrowiec, their survival during the Holocaust and how they ended up in Canada after the war. Throughout the discussion, they briefly learned about the Jewish history of the town. They also learned about the important work being done by the "Jews of Ostrowiec Memorial Project".

It was an honor to visit the school and to have this very important dialogue with the wonderful students and staff at the school. I look forward in visiting other schools in the town in future visits and continue the cooperation with many of the town's residents. Watch for more interesting news in the upcoming months!
